Structural Design Intern – Blue Marlin London
Blue Marlin London is looking for a structural/3D design intern to join its team. We can be flexible with the length of the placement, dependent on your availability. The internship is paid (salary to be discussed with successful candidate) and may lead to a full time position.
Job Description:
Generally support the brand focused team of structural and graphic designers in creating 3D packaging, product, and POS solutions that satisfy consumer needs, are efficiently manufactured, and are aesthetically cutting-edge.
Level:
Internship for a product design/3D design student
Skills required:
- Sketching
- Knowledge of computer visualising and layout
- Ideally a working knowledge of 3D CAD utilisation
Computer knowledge:
- 2D – skilled in Photoshop, Illustrator etc
- 3D – An ability to use 3D CAD software (eg. Inventor, Alias Wavefront, Solid Works)
General:
Thrives in busy studio atmosphere, enjoys challenges, works well within a team and with a diverse cross-section of personalities, confident, can handle pressure, motivated, always seeking to do more than is asked of them.

JOB PURPOSE & SUMMARY
The account director is the strategic lead on the client’s business in order to build senior client relationships and develop the business, whilst providing an outstanding level of client service to deliver strategic thinking and creative solutions for commercial gain.
This is a senior, influential role that combines business and brand/marketing strategy with client services and business development, and the ability to understand, influence and champion the creative work.
Their role is to turn business strategy into creative strategy, driving the business and brand agenda internally and externally.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
Client Management
- Overall, deliver an efficient and profitable business
- Set, drive and deliver yearly revenue and profit targets across a portfolio of clients
- Develop long term senior client partnership/relationships
- Promote Blue Marlin across client business – cross-sell Blue Marlin areas of expertise and look for new opportunities beyond these for business development
- Add value strategically across the client business as well as on projects
- Raise Blue Marlin’s profile within client business, representing Blue Marlin’s vision and values externally
Consultancy
- Be the lead consultant on the client’s business
- Thought leadership
- Know if, when and how to engage specialist planning/research skills (dependent on level/type of consultancy skills)
New Business
- Farm current clients beyond gaining repeat business
- Identify and win additional business
- Working alongside the new business team (NB their responsibility is to help feed the pipeline of contacts and meetings; provide new business expertise; develop points of view and gain media interest; with a skew towards additional business vs current)
- Identify and win additional business

Marketing and Communications Intern – Blue Marlin New York
We are looking for a student/recent graduate, with excellent writing skills and a keen interest in the world of branding and design, to support our New York team in its communications as well as on current projects and pitch scenarios.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Brand and market audits for prospect identification, specific projects or pitch presentations
- Help in identifying new business targets to meet target criteria
- Researching prospects and developing targeted campaigns
- Assist in creating new business presentations
- Database management
- Assisting other departments if and when required
- Social media execution (Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin)
- Blue Marlin New York blog champion
- Assisting communications department with project launches, incoming or outgoing press, company news, media lists, thought pieces & awards
Requirements
• Fluent English speaking and excellent writing skills
• Passionate student who wants to start a career in marketing/branding
• Skilled in MS Excel/Word/PowerPoint, Photoshop/Illustrator a plus
• Fluency in any additional foreign languages would be a plus
This will be a paid internship with an opportunity to evolve to a full time position.

Intern Account Executive – Blue Marlin Bath
Do you have what it takes to join an award winning brand design agency in the beautiful countryside but still close to Bath? We’re looking for a creative thinker, someone who wants to gain substantial experience learning on the job and who is committed to a full time paid internship.

Spark Award Internship – Blue Marlin New York
The Spark Award was created to nurture fresh talent and give young designers their first break.
U.S. students go through an application process and those selected are given a month long placement in our New York sudio, during which they create a personal project. Senior Account Manager/Account Director – Blue Marlin Singapore
DEPARTMENT – Client Services
REPORTS TO – Managing Director
JOB PURPOSE & SUMMARY
To lead, direct and take full responsibility for key client relationships ensuring that all projects are run efficiently, delivering quality creative solutions that are on time and budget whilst continuing to build stronger and more effective client partnerships.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Client Management
- Set, drive and deliver yearly revenue and profit targets.
- Long-term client development and planning.
- Develop long-term, strategic, proactive senior client partnerships/relationships that are based on trust, quality thinking, effective creative solutions, timely delivery and the best possible client service at all time.
- Promote Blue Marlin across client business – cross-sell Blue Marlin areas of expertise and look for new opportunities beyond these for business development.
- Add value strategically across the client business as well as on projects.
- Raise Blue Marlin’s profile within client business and reinforce Blue Marlin’s vision and values externally.
2. Project Management
- Maximise profit and revenue across client portfolio.
- Develop brand strategy and vision: from proposal writing through to client buy-in and brief writing.
- Clear leadership at initial stage of projects.
- Be responsible for leading and directing client and project reviews, assessing overall performance, dealing with issues and setting future direction and activities.
- Challenge, build and add strategic value; understand the broader context of the consumer brand experience; help to ‘shape’ what the clients’ brands stand for – to deliver a true brand consulting partnership.
- Consider further opportunities not suggested by client; add value to client relationships above and beyond brand design.
- Assume full your professional and personal development.
- Develop and manage direct reports ensuring they are fully aware of their roles and responsibilities and that their performance is monitored, reviewed and developed. Set clear performance objectives and establish training and development requirements for all direct reports.
- Set specific account driver plans for direct reports and monitor weekly activity, reporting monthly to the Client Services Director and quarterly to the Executive Team.
- Promote the Blue Marlin Employer Brand internally and externally amongst peers, colleagues, clients and the industry network.
- Proactively input into Blue Marlin best practice, systems procedures, strategies for growth, improvement areas, etc.
- Responsibility for the coordination, planning and execution of project programme activities, meetings and key dates between the client and relevant teams within Blue Marlin.
- Prioritise clients and projects and resource in the context of the whole Blue Marlin business.
- Strategically manage the creative team and take ownership (with the Creative Director) for the quality of the final creative product; be responsible for the accurate, timely and effective delivery of all studio briefs ensuring that they achieve the desired results efficiently and effectively and deliver creative excellence.
- Foster strong internal relationships across the planning, creative, realisation/finished art and financial teams to ensure seamless and profitable delivery of client projects.
